Márgenes Editores es una editorial independiente con sede en Granada. Fundada en 2010, hemos ido transformándonos desde el germen inicial, una revista de arquitectura y cultura contemporánea, a un proyecto editorial creciente centrado en poesía, literatura, artes plásticas y abierta a cualquier ámbito de la creación y la cultura.
Márgenes somos José Miguel Gómez Acosta y Daniel López Martínez, junto con un enorme y querido grupo de escritores, fotógrafos, pintores, arquitectos, artistas… que nos arropan y acompañan.
Márgenes Arquitectura, fue nuestro origen: una personal revista de arquitectura, la que hubiéramos querido poder comprar en nuestra librería habitual.
Márgenes Editores is an independent publishing house based in Granada. Founded in 2010, we have evolved from our initial seed—a magazine on architecture and contemporary culture—into a growing editorial project focused on poetry, literature, visual arts, and open to any field of creation and culture.
Márgenes is made up of José Miguel Gómez Acosta and Daniel López Martínez, together with a large and beloved group of writers, photographers, painters, architects, and artists who support and accompany us.
Márgenes Arquitectura was our origin: a personal architecture magazine, the one we wished we could have bought at our usual bookstore.
MÁRGENES 11 Arquitectura y moda
Territorio, casa, ropa, cuerpo. Cuatro etapas de relación con lo exterior. Antes de la vestimenta solo está nuestra piel, en un nivel de intercambio puramente biológico, aunque también simbólico, con el entorno. Después de la piel, la ropa, en su sentido más amplio, marca cómo nos protegemos y mostramos. Con ella construimos la primera habitación donde habitar el mundo. Desde el cuerpo y la ropa aparecen ondas concéntricas que aumentan la resonancia de esta interrelación hacia la arquitectura y el territorio. Pieles superpuestas cada vez más lejanas y sutiles, cada vez más remotas a nuestra propia piel, que marcan la relación que existe entre arquitectura y moda.
Una relación múltiple, casi infinita por la cercanía de sus paralelismos. Desde la similar forma de tratar la materia, el cobijo, la construcción, la estética, la función, el símbolo o el sueño, hasta la aportación concreta de creadores como Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas, Cristóbal Balenciaga, Bernard Rudofsky, Pilar Dalbat, Miguel Fisac o Sou Fujimoto. Una relación que es posible rastrear a lo largo de los siglos XX y XXI en una particular línea de tiempo comparada o en las conexiones transversales con otras disciplinas como la historia del arte, la literatura o la filosofía.
Miradas enlazadas, cadenas de transmisión de conocimiento, conversaciones cruzadas, engranajes íntimos que marcan el trato cercano entre la arquitectura y la moda.

Territory, house, clothing, body. Four stages of relationship with the outside. Before clothing there is only our skin, at a level of purely biological, though also symbolic, exchange with the environment. After skin comes clothing, in its broadest sense, which marks how we protect and present ourselves. With it, we build the first room in which to inhabit the world. From the body and clothing, concentric waves emerge, increasing the resonance of this interrelation toward architecture and territory. Layers of skin, increasingly distant and subtle, increasingly remote from our own, shape the relationship between architecture and fashion.
A multiple, almost infinite relationship due to the closeness of their parallels. From the similar way they address material, shelter, construction, aesthetics, function, symbolism, or dreams, to the concrete contributions of creators such as Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas, Cristóbal Balenciaga, Bernard Rudofsky, Pilar Dalbat, Miguel Fisac, or Sou Fujimoto. A relationship that can be traced throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries in a particular comparative timeline or in the transversal connections with other disciplines such as art history, literature, or philosophy.
Intertwined perspectives, chains of knowledge transmission, cross conversations, intimate mechanisms that define the close interaction between architecture and fashion.
