La Precaria Mad
La Precaria Mad surge en Madrid en 2019. Es una iniciativa formada por India & Jorge -una madrileña y un mexicano- que unen sus fuerzas creativas ante la necesidad de decir lo que les afecta, inquieta o hace felices a través de su trabajo. La Precaria Mad se basa en el HACER: está libre de guiones, modas, reglas e imposiciones externas. Es una apuesta analógica, trata de volver con dignidad a lo manual y lo físico, manejando los propios tiempos y respetando los ritmos de los procesos personales.
La Precaria Mad se hace con mimo y cuidado, en oposición a lo intangible, efímero y vacuo, del contexto actual. Por eso realizan ediciones limitadas o ejemplares únicos. Sobre los autores: La cabeza de India Toctli funciona creando. Su forma esencial de expresión son las imágenes. Le interesa cuestionar y confrontar lo hegemónico, contribuir con referentes disidentes, de ternura, cuidado, alegría, amor, respeto, calma. Dibujar, pintar, investigar y dejarse llevar son sus formas de estar en la creación y la creación es su manera de estar en el mundo. Esa es su función. Jorge Cárdenas del Moral fue guitarrista punk en México. Luego se hizo arquitecto y cruzó el océano para refugiarse en libros que hablan sobre cómo imaginar mundos mejores. Su interés por reivindicar el modo de vida analógico se refleja en sus proyectos: dibujos basados en croquis/garabatos, collages de cortar y pegar; publicaciones/textos que pasan necesariamente por la imprenta. Además de una reinterpretación de lo construido que busca generar espacios de resistencia para la aplastante y homogénea cultura dominante.
La Precaria Mad arises in Madrid in 2019. It is an initiative formed by India & Jorge -a Madrilenian and a Mexican- who join their creative forces before the need to say what affects them, worries them or makes them happy through their work. La Precaria Mad is based on DOING: it is free of scripts, fashions, rules and external impositions. It is an analogical bet, it tries to return with dignity to the manual and the physical, managing one’s own time and respecting the rhythms of personal processes.
La Precaria Mad is made with care and attention, in opposition to the intangible, ephemeral and empty of the current context. That is why they make limited editions or unique copies. About the authors: India Toctli’s head works by creating. Her essential form of expression is images. She is interested in questioning and confronting the hegemonic, contributing with dissident referents of tenderness, care, joy, love, respect, calm. Drawing, painting, researching and letting herself go are her ways of being in creation and creation is her way of being in the world.
That is its function. Jorge Cárdenas del Moral was a punk guitarist in Mexico. Then he became an architect and crossed the ocean to take refuge in books that talk about how to imagine better worlds. His interest in vindicating the analogical way of life is reflected in his projects: drawings based on sketches/doodles, cut and paste collages; publications/texts that necessarily go through the printing press. In addition to a reinterpretation of the constructed that seeks to generate spaces of resistance to the crushing and homogeneous dominant culture.
