EXIT Publicaciones
Centrada en las artes visuales en general y en la fotografía en particular; trabaja desde el presente de la creación y el pensamiento cultural a través de distintos soportes y colecciones. Editorial con EXIT, la revista monográfica de fotografía, cultura y textos críticos situados en contexto como eje central. El proyecto editorial se completa con las colecciones: Textos inevitables, que reúne ensayos inéditos que abordan temas fundamentales y poco visibles de la creación contemporánea; EX(it)LIBRIS, en la que publicamos títulos inéditos en castellano, así como antologías y ensayos de autores de reconocido prestigio internacional; la Colección 100 se forma de libros de arte contemporáneo con 100 artistas de cada disciplina; Max&Rocco Libros es la colección de libros sobre arte y cultura urbana que edita EXIT LA LIBRERÍA desde Ciudad de México, y en la que colaboran como coeditores EXIT Publicaciones, libros con diseños, contenidos y circunstancias diferentes, una colección libre. Además contamos con una colección de Proyectos de artistas así como publicaciones fuera de colecciones como el diccionario ELLAS, Mujeres artistas hasta 1900 (1 vol.). alistas de reconocido prestigio.
Focused on the visual arts in general and photography in particular, it works from the present of creation and cultural thought through different media and collections. Editorial with EXIT, the monographic magazine of photography, culture and critical texts placed in context as a central axis. The editorial project is completed with the collections: “Textos inevitables”, which brings together unpublished essays that address fundamental and little visible issues of contemporary creation; ‘EX(it)LIBRIS’, in which we publish unpublished titles in Spanish, as well as anthologies and essays by internationally renowned authors; the “Colección 100” is a collection of contemporary art books with 100 artists of each discipline; “Max&Rocco Libros” is the collection of books on art and urban culture published by EXIT LA LIBRERÍA from Mexico City, in which EXIT Publicaciones collaborates as co-publishers, books with different designs, contents and circumstances, a free collection. We also have a collection of “Proyectos de artistas” as well as publications outside of collections such as the dictionary «ELLAS, Mujeres artistas hasta 1900» (1 vol.).
EXIT #95 COMO PERROS Y GATOS
Perros y gatos son los protagonistas de este número, las dos caras de una misma moneda: las relaciones interespecie entre estos animales y los humanos, a veces tiernas y esperanzadoras, otras, injustas, crueles y complejas. EXIT 95 reúne el trabajo de catorce fotógrafos que enfocan sus objetivos a estos tiernos compañeros y nos devuelven su mirada, acompañados de un enternecedor texto, a la par que histórico y consciente, de la periodista, poeta y activista en defensa de los derechos de los animales Ruth Toledano. Entre las páginas de este número se suceden diversos dossieres entre los que nos dejamos cautivar por las miradas e historias de estos perros y felinos. Desde la fotografía callejera de Charlotte Dumas y Ekin Küçük, a los famosos retratos de Elliott Erwitt o Pilar Aymerich, pasando por quienes ocupan las sillas de los estudios de fotografía acostumbradas a otro tipo de modelos, como nos muestran las series de William Wegman y Amparo Garrido. También toman protagonismo los profundos vínculos que entre humanos y animales se establecen, como bien nos muestran Estela de Castro y Robin Schwartz con sus familias interespecie, así como Joseph Fox, Masahisha Fukase, Eunice Adorno, Sage Sohier y Hellen van Meene; sin dejar de lado otro tipo de relaciones con los canes que llevan a la reflexión, como aquellas que nos ofrece el trabajo de Carlos Sanva. El número cierra con la sección de Portfolio, que al margen del tema central muestra el trabajo de fotógrafos emergentes o que están consolidando su carrera en el panorama internacional. En esta ocasión presentamos la obra de Angela Christofilou (Grecia), Martina Zanin (Italia), Alan Nakkash (EE.UU.), Gunnar Knechtel (Alemania) y Tommy Kha (EE.UU.). En esta ocasión, siendo julio el mes con la mayor tasa de abandono de animales en España, el 10% de las ventas directas de la revista a través de nuestra web, durante 2024, será donado a dos protectoras de animales: Bichos Raros y Fundación Santuario Vegan.

«EXIT #95 LIKE CATS AND DOGS»
Dogs and cats are the protagonists of this issue, the two sides of the same coin: the inter-species relations between these animals and humans, sometimes tender and hopeful, sometimes unfair, cruel and complex. «EXIT 95» brings together the work of fourteen photographers who focus their lenses on these tender companions and return their gaze to us, accompanied by a touching text, both historical and conscious, by the journalist, poet and animal rights activist Ruth Toledano.between the pages of this issue there are several dossiers among which we are captivated by the looks and stories of these dogs and cats. From the street photography of Charlotte Dumas and Ekin Küçük, to the famous portraits of Elliott Erwitt or Pilar Aymerich, to those who occupy the chairs of photography studios used to other types of models, as shown in the series by William Wegman and Amparo Garrido. Amparo Garrido. The deep bonds established between humans and animals also take center stage, as Estela de Castro and Robin Schwartz show us with their inter-species families, as well as
Joseph Fox, Masahisha Fukase, Eunice Adorno, Sage Sohier and Hellen van Meene; without leaving aside other types of relationships with dogs that lead to reflection, such as those offered by the work of Carlos Sanva. The issue closes with the Portfolio section, which, apart from the central theme, shows the work of emerging photographers or those who are consolidating their career on the international scene.
