Cthulhu Books
What is human? Who is we? (2023), como resultado del 2023 Postnatural Independent Program ofrecido por el IPS.
The relationship between culture and nature is present in everyday life; narrated, mediated, and fictionalised through stories, tales, and myths that define how we inhabit the planet. Through various formats that intertwine new narratives, research, images, and fiction as a political tool, Cthulhu Books brings together reflections, works, and worlds that stem from diverse perspectives, identities, and geographies.
Cthulhu Books, the editorial platform of the Institute for Postnatural Studies (IPS), thus fosters relationships between different fields of knowledge, blurring the boundaries between artistic and academic research, theory and practice, science and art, culture and nature. It aims to make visible new modes of coexistence, imagining other possible worlds that can provide new frameworks and sensitivities towards the contemporary ecological crisis.
Some titles in its collection include *Compost Reader vol. I* (2021), *Compost Reader vol. II* (2024), *Making Kin: Animal Series* (2023), *La condición postnatural* (2023), and *We? What is human? Who is we?* (2023), which are the result of the 2023 Postnatural Independent Program offered by the IPS.
La condición postnatural Glosario de ecologías para otros mundos La condición postnatural is a speculative glossary of terms and images, of stories and subjects, an unfinished archive of intertwined thoughts that are born as an invitation to take a critical distance from the modern Western conception of the “natural” by proposing new gazes and resonances. To this end, this book tries to articulate and mix affective philosophies, minor anthropologies, critical historical reviews, minimal histories, narratives, and stories on the margins, counterexamples that proliferate a kaleidoscopic vision of ecology in an increasingly deteriorated world. This book challenges the hegemonic narratives around the natural, inviting us to imagine and propose other worlds to come from respect, empathy, and coexistence. In line with the methodologies and research processes of IPS, the book is understood as a collaborative project. Therefore, in La condición postnatural, includes and makes visible the projects and research of some of the people who have become part of the extended network of the Institute for Postnatural Studies.

*La condición postnatural* is a speculative glossary of terms and images, of stories and subjects—an unfinished archive of intertwined thoughts that arise as an invitation to take a critical distance from the modern Western conception of the «natural» by proposing new perspectives and resonances. To this end, this book aims to articulate and blend affective philosophies, minor anthropologies, critical historical reviews, minimal histories, narratives, and stories from the margins—counterexamples that proliferate a kaleidoscopic vision of ecology in an increasingly deteriorated world. This book challenges the hegemonic narratives surrounding the natural, inviting us to imagine and propose other worlds rooted in respect, empathy, and coexistence. In line with the methodologies and research processes of IPS, the book is understood as a collaborative project. Therefore, *La condición postnatural* includes and makes visible the projects and research of some of the individuals who have become part of the extended network of the Institute for Postnatural Studies.
