Ayuntamiento de Valdemoro / Libros intervenidos
El proyecto consiste en la intervención en un libro, utilizando éste como objeto.
El artista invitado elige un libro y lo transforma, lo deforma, lo taladra, pinta, subraya, borra, cose… dependiendo en cada caso de cuál sea el discurso y la poética del autor y la obra elegida. Y consigue hacer de ese libro un objeto artístico, un objeto intervenido.
Estas obras se exponen en una biblioteca pública. Aquí, el usuario está acostumbrado a dialogar con los libros, pero no con el arte contemporáneo, por lo que el descubrimiento de los “libros intervenidos” provoca un gran impacto en este espectador que encuentra una expresión artística que facilita su acceso al arte.
El visitante, no sólo puede consultar un libro sobre arte, sino que también consulta una obra de arte.
Este proyecto pretende perdurar en el tiempo, creando un fondo bibliotecario de libros intervenidos.
The project consists of intervening in a book, using it as an object.
The invited artist chooses a book and transforms it, deforms it, drills into it, paints it, underlines it, erases it, sews it… depending in each case on the discourse and poetics of the author and the chosen work. In doing so, they manage to turn that book into an artistic object, an intervened object.
These works are exhibited in a public library. Here, the user is accustomed to engaging with books, but not with contemporary art, so the discovery of these ‘intervened books’ has a strong impact on the viewer, who encounters an artistic expression that facilitates their access to art.
The visitor can not only consult a book about art, but also consult a work of art.
This project aims to endure over time, creating a library collection of intervened books.
A través de la propuesta de un grupo de artistas, queremos compartir esta interesante y creativa forma de expresión, que es el motivo de nuestro proyecto: La intervención en un libro, utilizando este como objeto. Los libros están expuestos y se pueden ver y tocar en la Biblioteca Municipal Ana María Matute de Valdemoro.
Through the proposal of a group of artists, we want to share this interesting and creative form of expression, which is the purpose of our project: the intervention in a book, using it as an object. The books are on display and can be seen and touched at the Ana María Matute Municipal Library in Valdemoro.
