It’s Eid, we’ll work for 12 hours at night. I’ll come back in the morning es uno de los muchos mensajes que diariamente dejaba Fitnete Veselaj Kastrati, madre de Doruntina Kastrati, para informar a la familia sobre su horario de trabajo diario. Estas notas y la realidad laboral de su madre fueron el tema de la presentación The Echoing Silences of Metal and Skin, que abordaba el trabajo feminizado y la desigualdad en el lugar de trabajo, desarrollada por Kastrati para el Pabellón de la República de Kosovo en la Bienal de Venecia 2024.
Partiendo de esta serie de obras y su investigación, este pequeño cuaderno retoma la idea de dejar pequeños mensajes para nuestros seres queridos o de recoger pensamientos que pasan por nuestra mente durante el día.
Pensado como un repositorio de palabras, el cuaderno extiende el mensaje de afecto hacia personas lejanas, destinando todos los ingresos de las ventas regularmente a apoyar organizaciones humanitarias activas en la Franja de Gaza.

«It’s Eid, we’ll work for 12 hours at night. I’ll come back in the morning» is one of many messages left daily by Fitnete Veselaj Kastrati, Doruntina Kastrati’s mother, to inform the family about her daily working schedule.
These notes and her mother’s working reality were the subject of the presentation «The Echoing Silences of Metal and Skin», addressing feminized labor and workplace inequality, which Kastrati developed for the Pavilion of the Republic of Kosovo at the 2024 Venice Biennale.
Building on this series of works and their quest, this small notebook carries forward the idea of leaving little memos for our loved ones or gathering thoughts that pass through our minds during the day.
Intended as a repository for words, the notebook extends the message of affection to others far away, with all proceeds from sales regularly donated to support humanitarian organizations active in the Gaza Strip.
