Entre otras plantas igualmente importantes para la herencia y la tradición palestinas, crecen plantas que todavía se identifican por su nombre de especie «palaestina» o «palaestinum».
Esta publicación ilustra 3 plantas originarias de Palestina y enumera muchas más para ayudar a preservar la historia de las plantas palestinas. Las plantas actúan como personajes, dando forma a narrativas de resistencia. Plantifada tiene como objetivo documentar las plantas de Palestina para que sus historias nunca puedan ser borradas. La documentación de estas plantas funciona como un archivo de memoria colectiva; un espacio compartido entre plantas y personas que revela cómo las historias del pueblo están intrínsecamente ligadas a la tierra.

In the world of botany, the 18th c. binomial taxonomical system is used to this day to identify plants from all around the world. Among other plants equally important to Palestinian heritage and tradition, grow plants that are still identified by their species name «palaestina» or «palaestinum».
This publication illustrates 3 plants native to Palestine and lists many more to help preserve the history of Palestinian plants. The plants act as characters, shaping narratives of resistance. «Plantifada» aims to document the plants of Palestine so that their histories can never be erased. The documentation of these plants serves as a collective memory archive; a shared space between plants and people that reveals how the stories of the people are integrally linked to the land.
The words of the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish can equally resonate with the plants and the people of Palestine: «Your name is the name of the land».
