Florituras bolleras es un proyecto de investigación artística expandida que trabaja con la botánica desde una perspectiva feminista y cuir/queer. A través de diferentes publicaciones y fanzines y trabajando con distintos formatos (herbarium, botanizines) la imagen y la escritura son el soporte para llevar a cabo una reapropiación de las taxonomías botánicas e introducir en ellas nuevas narrativas y ficciones especulativas.
Florituras Bolleras is an expanded artistic research project that works with botany from a feminist and queer/crip perspective. Through various publications and fanzines, and using different formats (herbarium, botanizines), image and writing serve as the medium to carry out a reappropriation of botanical taxonomies and to introduce new narratives and speculative fictions into them.
Botánicas -Herbarium to E.D.- es un fotolibro (serie de 35 ejemplares) impreso en risografía compuesto por 22 láminas botánicas en A4 + dos fanzines: textos botánicos (A5) y un anexo taxo-morfológico (A6). Concebido como un homenaje a la poeta Emily Dickinson y su amante y compañera Susan Gilbert el proyecto se inserta en el trabajo de investigación que vengo realizando en torno a la botánica y al papel que las mujeres han jugado en ella y propone una reapropiación cuir de la taxonomía botánica tanto en su lenguaje escrito como en la producción visual en la que se ha apoyado. Partiendo del herbarium realizado por Emily Dickinson, Botánicas -Herbarium to E.D.- es un re-enacment o reescritura feminista y lesbiana de mi propio herbarium que juega con la imagen fotográfica y el texto taxonómico para generar un archivo visual disidente desde las eróticas lesbianas.
«Botánicas -Herbarium to E.D.-» is a photobook (edition of 35 copies) printed in risograph, consisting of 22 botanical plates in A4 format plus two fanzines: botanical texts (A5) and a taxo-morphological annex (A6). Conceived as a tribute to the poet Emily Dickinson and her lover and companion Susan Gilbert, the project is part of ongoing research on botany and the role women have played in it. It proposes a queer reappropriation of botanical taxonomy both in its written language and in the visual production that supports it. Based on the herbarium created by Emily Dickinson, «Botánicas -Herbarium to E.D.-» is a feminist and lesbian re-enactment of my own herbarium, playing with photographic images and taxonomic text to generate a dissident visual archive from a lesbian erotic perspective.
