Brillo is a publishing house focused on generating contemporary artistic proposals that take place in the book format. A framework of action on which to propose and think, where each artist creates a book and each book is a shine.
Nunca, Leeré, Caso, Mejilla, Junto es un ensayo formal que se pregunta cómo articular imágenes propias y concretas pero alejadas de una lectura evidente. Esta publicación sería algo parecido a una sala de montaje en la que cortar un fotograma para enlazar la siguiente escena. Andrea lo hace sin transición, con la brusquedad del corte entre ambas y prestando atención a la dialéctica que surge al enlazarlas.
Así, se generan formas casi casi capicúas, que te vuelven a mostrar la imagen para seguir pensando en ella, evidenciando que aún no se conoce del todo, que se resiste a ser consumida.
«Nunca, Leeré, Caso, Mejilla, Junto» is a formal essay that questions how to articulate one’s own concrete images while keeping them distant from an obvious reading. This publication works like an editing room, where a frame is cut to connect to the next scene. Andrea does this without transition, with the abruptness of the cut between them, paying attention to the dialectic that emerges from linking the images.
In this way, almost palindromic forms are generated, showing the image again so that one can continue thinking about it, revealing that it is still not fully known and resists being consumed.
